If you would like to enroll your child for the first time, parents need to bring the following information:
1. Verification of residence as outlined in the Federal Court Consent Decree for a Unitary School System, June 1997; two of any of the following documents are acceptable.
 | Property tax records, indicating homestead exemption |
| Mortgage document or property deed |
| Residential (apartment or home) lease |
| Utility bills (only one may be used) |
| Voter precinct identification |
| Automobile registration |
| A court decree declaring the resident to be the legal guardian of a student |
2. Child's certified birth certificate.
3. Child's certificate of immunization (blue slip)
4. Child's social security card.
5. If child is transferring from another school, we need some document verifying grade placement and withdrawal.
6. The child being registered does not need to be present.
Please remember that a child must be five years old by September 2, 2008, in order to be eligible to attend kindergarten next year (2008-2009). This is in compliance with Alabama law.
