Marbury High School Media Program
The media program of Marbury High School exists to support and further the purposes of the overall school program. The philosophy of the Media program is consistent with that of the school and community. The Media Center should give each student the opportunity to develop the capacity for self-direction and the ability to cope in a rapidly changing society. It is hoped that each student will gain a positive attitude towards learning that will help them in reaching their personal goals. inherent within this philosophy is the belief that all children are entitled to an education. Because of the unique individual needs of each child a wide range of learning opportunities should be provided for students with different abilities, interests and backgrounds. Basic to this belief is the desire to promote lifelong learning through an effective use of information by each student. Encouraging the development of a well-rounded individual who will make a positive contribution to society is the ultimate goal of the media program.
Goals
The following goals are integrated throughout the curriculum for students to develop skills that will enrich their learning experiences. These goals exist to support and implement the purposes formulated by the school.

The Marbury High School Media Center contains a variety of resources which serve all the students and faculty in grades 7-12. The resources and services of the Media Center are a fundamental part of the educational process. The program is so designed and facilitated that it strives to be the core around which the entire curriculum revolves. The environment is one with physical surroundings that are healthy, comfortable, and conducive to learning.
