Hello! My name is Tanya Brumett.
I teach children in grades seven through twelve English and reading. I have
been employed at Marbury High School for six years, and I love teaching in a small
community such as this. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University
Montgomery in 2000. Prior to receiving my teaching position, I served as
County Editor of The Wetumpka Herald newspaper. A love of English
and literature led me to a career in education. My goal as a teacher is to
inspire my students with a love of reading and command of the English language
that will serve them well for the rest of their lives, promoting success in
adulthood.
I have been married for fourteen years, and I have one daughter named Jessica who
attends Marbury High School. My hobbies include swimming, reading, and
craft making. I spend all of my time away from work with my family, and we
love to go to the beach!!!
